Message
to Bulgarian young business leaders:
I had been
involved in this human development project from the first as Japanese
counterparty. We found it is very important for Japan to contribute to
the
development of business leaders in the developing countries in global
market
because Japan was the first non western country which had been
successfully
modernized and became second largest economy by the devotion of young
entrepreneurs and hard workers.
For those young
business leaders in growing economy it is crucial to understand why and
how
those economy like American, European and Japanese grew in a different
manner
and compare them to find what you should learn and what you should
avoid.
In Japan,
Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific
University started as the first international
university teaching
courses in English in
2000 and now we attracted about
4000 foreign students from over 80 different countries and regions with
same
number of Japanese students. We found students are mutually learning
with
themselves about different culture and experience. There appears great
knowledge creation through exchange of views, experiences and ideas
with
different people. There are a lot of things to learn from difference.
The
future success of any young leaders is based on whether they can
understand
both western and eastern way of thinking and create new knowledge from
there.
We would like to make Managerial Skills Development Center at IPS as
such a
place to create new knowledge by learning different things.
